Career Conversations with DC EcoWomen: Breaking Into the Impact Career Field

Staying in the same job or sector for your entire career is becoming increasingly rare. Although switching roles and even careers is common today, transitioning to a new field or role may still seem out of reach if you don’t know how your skills and experience align. In this interactive event, you’ll learn how to identify your target audience and translate your skills and experience in a way that resonates and lands you that networking date, interview, or job offer.

The event will be led by Shannon Houde, a career and executive coach specializing in the impact sector. Shannon has more than two decades of mentoring, coaching, and training professionals, executives, and job seekers who are looking to make a difference.  She recently published the book, Good Work: How to Build a Career that Makes a Difference in the World.

You’ll leave the event with tangible tools and tactics to help you to translate yourself and your unique experience into an asset for your target sector.

Tickets are available for $10. We recognize that this may present a barrier for those experiencing financial hardship at this time. If these circumstances apply to you, we welcome you to reach out to rwaters@dc.ecowomen.org if a fee waiver is needed.

*Please Note: DC EcoWomen events are open to women and those who identify as women, including members of the LGBTQ community and gender-fluid individuals.
