Position Summary

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning.

Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent.

Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.

Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas. 

What you’ll do

At, we aspire to reshape whole systems to achieve significant and lasting improvement in social, environmental and economic outcomes. We focus on driving shared valued within the business, and catalyzing broad sector change through our philanthropy. We are currently seeking a program officer to join our team who will focus on helping to accelerate sustainability in supply chains.

This role will have an emphasis on preserving natural capital, especially for the world’s most irreplaceable landscapes. This program officer will focus on issues such as deforestation, ocean health, regenerative agriculture, and supporting circular economies to reduce waste. The role will be embedded in a team that is working globally across various parts of the supply chains, and insights are shared across that team. The skills we are looking for include the ability to balance strategic planning and program design, with an ability to manage governance and grant administration.

We are also looking for someone who is curious, has an orientation towards collaboration, and who has passion for the role that both business and philanthropy can play in creating change. This position is based in Bentonville, AR.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • at least 3 years experience working in the natural capital field

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 5 years’ experience managing cross-functional projects for governmental or non-governmental organizations, consulting firms, or corporations OR 7 years’ experience managing cross-functional projects for governmental or non-governmental organizations, consulting firms, or corporations. 

Preferred Qualifications

Consulting, Preparing and executing budgets, Project Management, Strategic Planning, Sustainability – Environmental, Sustainability – Social, Working in a matrixed organization. Masters: International Studies.
