About Institute for a Sustainable Earth
The Institute for a Sustainable Earth (ISE) has been designed to connect members of the Mason community with others across the Mason community – and with other communities, policy-makers, businesses and organizations – to address the world’s pressing sustainability and resilience challenges. ISE will support the university level transdisciplinary center for advanced study, Center for Resilient and Sustainable Communities (C-RASC), as well as any other university level centers with relevant research. A community of several hundred faculty have come together to support the goals of ISE. Together, they represent a range of academic disciplines from every college on campus. ISE will amplify the work of these faculty and the college level centers to which they belong by serving as a connector, convener and communicator.
