There is an opportunity at Pacific Gas & Electric Company for an Expert Sustainability Specialist. The role is based in San Francisco, California. The Sustainability Specialist, Expert will support PG&E’s climate resilience and sustainability efforts by working to identify, quantify, and manage risks related to climate change that impact PG&E’s business, customers and communities, and by providing technical support for programs and practices to reduce PG&E’s environmental impact. The candidate will work across PG&E’s lines of business to design and implement processes for managing climate risks and opportunities and will work collaboratively to develop communication and employee training materials for climate change and climate resilience.  The position will also support the implementation of initiatives to achieve PG&E’s sustainability goals, including efforts to achieve PG&E’s carbon reduction goal for company operations, as well as related sustainability tracking and reporting programs.  The position will require extensive engagement with internal and external stakeholders to develop, execute and communicate climate resilience and sustainability strategies for the company and communities served by PG&E.
