As a Global Environmental Sustainability Manager, you will directly report to the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability and you will be in charge of managing the definition and implementation master plan of the Environmental Sustainability strategy and program in the Operations area in both Divisions globally (Fragrances and Flavors). You will drive its successful implementation and track progress. To do so, you will work in collaboration with the Operations, Engineering, and EHS stakeholders, under the guidance from the Global Head of Environmental Sustainability and in coordination with the Sustainability team.
In this exciting opportunity you will be in charge of the following responsibilities:
Environmental Sustainability Program Management
You will manage the definition of the Environmental sustainability program and master plan to eliminate Green House Gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1 and 2), drive efficiencies in Water and Waste management across the two Divisions, in cooperation with dedicated teams. You will own the specific Acting for Our Environment (AFOE) team drumbeat to drive progress, manage risks and report on progress to management; In general, you will be key conductor on environmental sustainability topics across all relevant areas in Operations in the company.
You will research and propose opportunities for improvement in managing GHG emissions (scope 1 and 2), water and waste, based on collection and analysis of factual data, external research, benchmarking, and best practices.
Internal auditing, reporting and sustainability assurance process
You will supervise the internal pre-auditing activities in the sites, supported by our GBS EHSS Solutions team (Givaudan Business Solutions); You will also be responsible for the environmental data in the Operations area, and work with the GBS EHSS team to ensure data integrity, consistency and coordinated reporting; You will be the contact at corporate level to solve questions and provide evidence in the area of environmental sustainability in Operations; Finally, you will manage the preparation, filing and distribution of any necessary documentation and presentations;
Global CDP performance disclosure; You will be responsible at corporate level for CDP Climate Change and CDP Water security and provide support to the sites as required.
You will ensure the appropriate communications and updates are available for management and employees; You will prepare, contribute to and validate environmental sustainability communications, as needed, related to the work under your responsibility; You may participate in internal and external events representing Givaudan, as needed.

Your success profile includes
- Master’s degree, preferably in Environmental sciences, engineering or sustainability
- At least 10 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of the FMCG sector; in chemicals or food processing is a plus
- Fluent English, local language a plus
- Research skills, and strong ability to problem-solving and decision-making
