Position Summary

The Investing with Impact team member, Vice President, will be charged with driving growth of Investing with Impact through delivering engaging Advisor education and client service including implementation guidance on investment strategies and solutions as well as be capable of producing cutting edge content & analysis to support the enhancement of our offerings over-time. This team member will collaborate directly with the Investing with Impact team, with Global Sustainable Finance and across the firm, to deliver results. A successful candidate will be proactive, an imaginative problem solver, curious and strategic thinker, excellent communicator and thrive on collaboration to drive successful outcomes for our clients and firm.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assist in driving growth of Investing with Impact by delivering field support including responding to the Investing with Impact mailbox, daily inbound requests from Advisors, clients, asset managers and home office around investment products, portfolios, tools, analysis, business development, practice management and events
  • Deliver investment ideas, product innovation and service of the full suite of Investing with Impact products and portfolios
  • Assist Financial Advisors in responding to Request for Proposals (RFP) as well as developing Investment Policy Statements for institutional clients, as appropriate
  • Lead in completion of ad hoc research requests from the field and assist in content development for thematic Tool Kits, key publications and thought leadership
  • Asist in third-party impact manager prioritization across both Global Investment Manager Analysis and Investment Solutions
  • Lead in creation and enhancement of product and portfolio collateral – including printed and digital
  • Communicate/present clearly Investing with Impact approaches, products, solutions and tools to internal and external audiences and partners in a variety of settings
  • Assist with event planning, management and logistics as needed for branch meetings, regional Roadshows and the annual Investing with Impact Directors event; execute appropriate follow-up and engagement following successful events to maximize impact
  • Lead engaging sales desk and home office educational teach-ins on Investing with Impact
  • Collaborate with Global Sustainable Finance on Morgan Stanley Impact Quotient Wealth Management field roll-out and application enhancements
  • Undergraduate degree; Master’s degree, MBA or CFA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of work experience in financial services
  • Demonstrated career growth in wealth management, asset management, capital markets, and/or impact/sustainable investing
  • Experience with asset allocation, manager selection and portfolio risk management
  • Familiarity with Investing with Impact approaches and products across asset classes, geographies and impact themes
  • Familiarity with Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) data and impact reporting frameworks
  • Strong and efficient research capabilities, with ability to prioritize and analyze information that is both quantitative and qualitative in nature
  • Detail-oriented with excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and proactive follow-up
  • Comfort in juggling multiple priorities – including short term and long term projects; strong organizational and time management skills
  • Equally comfortable working proactively on a small team and navigating a global financial services firm
  • Clear passion for using capital markets to scale solutions to global and domestic economic, environmental and social challenges
  • Series 7 and 63 strongly preferred
