British Airways has an opening for a Sustainability & Inclusion Manager.
About the job
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the role of Sustainability Manager is a key role in BA’s new Sustainability Team, helping to ensure the team delivers British Airways’ vision of sector leadership in relation to its environmental, community investment, wellbeing and inclusion responsibilities.
The role’s main purposes are to support the Head of Sustainability in the advancement of BA’s corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy and performance, to support the delivery of the governance and the communication of our plans, both internally and externally, to our stakeholder base.
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the role holder will do this by setting the agenda within BA, aligning the agenda with IAG, working with a team of experts and ensuring our reporting and governance are accurate and verified. In turn this will increase the knowledge and understanding of how British Airways is a leader in the field.
The role also has direct responsibility for advancing the work of Wellbeing & Inclusion at BA. We focus on Wellbeing & Inclusion, with a view to improving colleague wellbeing, increasing diversity and promoting an inclusive culture. Since 2018 we have become signatories to the BiTC Race at Work Charter, made the Time to Change pledge to end mental health discrimination, launched a companywide female mentoring scheme with our partners Women Ahead, and rolled out the Unmind mental health app to colleagues. We have also marked national events including National Inclusion Week, International Women’s Day and Black History month, welcoming Tessy Ojo (Chief Executive of the Diana Awards), members of the RFU board and broadcaster June Sarpong, to talk to colleagues about their experiences.Apply now
